Looking for a place to get in your 2 mile runs Advanced Eagles?
Check out Wayne Hansard Park in Morristown. They have a beautiful paved walking/running/biking trail. The main trail is .8 miles and the small trail is .3. Take 2 laps on the main trail, 1 lap on the small trail and 1 trip around the parking lot and you have done 2 miles.

Looking for a fun day trip in East Tennessee? Check out Elrod Falls!
Elrod Falls is just off Hwy 31 outside of Sneedville, TN. Amie, Aubrey and I stopped by on our way home from the Hancock County Fall Festival this past weekend. Its pretty easy to miss as there is only one small sign to mark the turn off the highway, and once you head back down the side road into the "hollers", the next sign for the second turn is missing.
I have been several times, but always in the… Continue

This past Saturday we headed to Marion, VA to spend the day at Hungry Mother State Park. If you are ever looking for a fun day trip, we recommend you give the park a try.
It's roughly a 2 hour drive from Morristown, almost entirely on the interstate (although you can take several backroads, including Hwy 11, for a little more scenery.) Parking costs $2, and admission to the sand beach is $3 for kids and $4 for adults on weekends.
We spent the day on the sand beach. It is a… Continue

One of the stops we made while on vacation this month was at Virginia Safari Park in Natural Bridge, VA. We had a great time - if you are ever driving I-81 thru the Shenandoah Valley we HIGHLY recommend you stop!
We took Aubrey on a hike to Midnight Hole on the Big Creek Trail in North Carolina this past Sunday afternoon. It has been 7 years since Red Dragon has visited Big Creek, so this is probably where we will go for our Fall Hike in October.…
Aubrey caught her first fish without my help last week - she was very excited. Unfortunately, something rather large dragged her Barbie pole into the water about 20 minutes later..... :(

Aubrey was the flower girl in her Uncle Franks wedding this past weekend. I know I'm a proud daddy and a little bit biased, but I think she did a great job!
I want to send a special thanks to Michael Karr, Deana Evans, Michelle Stansberry, my brothers, Drew & Matt, my mom, Jake Cowan, & Chuck Cowan; without your help, this move would not have been possible!!!! Deana & Michelle were particularly awesome!!! You ladies are amazing!!! I also want to thank Steven Haag! Sorry, Steven, we just couldn't make it in time.
Jake & I are home, guys, thanks so much for helping to make that possible!…
I did not know it until today, but apparently it is National Marriage Week!
When Amie and I arrived at church this morning, we were happy to see that Father William Casey, the priest who performed our marriage ceremony (and an old friend of Amie's family) was filling in. He has been retired for many years, so we do not get to hear him speak very often.
What made it even more special was that all the married couples in attendance were given the opportunity to renew their… Continue
i got my hair cut. it is a lot shorter, but i like it a lot. i need to get a new pic for my page. i did not want it this short but i wanted to give my hair to locks of love, so i guess it was for a good thing.
OMG!!!!! I hate being hurt! I have a torn left rhomboid!(Well it's probably, torn the doctor thinks so!) I have to stop doing upper body excercise for a week to ten days!
Yes, that does mean no spear Mr. Whitworth! I hate it! The only good thing about it is I can't carry anything over ten pounds, so people have to carry my books for me at school! I might not even be able to go to NAGA which stinks. I hope the doctor clears me to go though. Pray for me!
